Welcome to the Homestead!

Homestead Montessori Farm School is a licensed non-denominational Christian Elementary school based in Kansas City, Kansas. We teach using the Montessori Method and believe that practical life skills are an important part of a child's education that fosters independence, self-esteem, a sense of community and responsibility in an environment that is cared for by the student. Gardening, animal care, food preparation, sewing, nature skills, art and music are just a few of the areas in which the students participate in addition to their academic studies. Elementary through Erdkinder (5-13) aged students thrive in this peaceful, work oriented atmosphere. We are entering our 8th school year of educating children in a farm school setting.
